Hi expert,
Do we have a INA138 pin to pin device that has higher accuracy?
Total current error requirement: <50mA
Power supply: 5V Vcc
Common mode voltage: > 20V
Sense current: 5A(max)
Sense resistor: 5 mOhm or 10 mOhm
I see the accuracy of INA215 is much better. Is this a good choice if the customer can accept a not pin to pin device?
Hey Lenna,
The INA13x/INA16x family is the only current-output family in our selection so there technically is no true replacement. However, the INA293 family is pin-to-pin compatible, it just outputs the measurement as a voltage. It comes in gain variants of 20, 50, 100, 200, and 500 V/V so if you could use one of these gains I would look at this device.
If you need an adjustable gain, current-output solution, you could look into making this circuit: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/sboa358/sboa358.pdf
Hope this helps.
Best,
Peter
