TLV9052: Confirm if the 0V input does not output a 0V value

Hi Team

Our customer simulate TLV9052 and TLV9062 using the available Spice models for these devices. Everything looks great, except for the opamp doesn't actually output 0V when the input is 0V

Since this is a rail-to-rail part, the customer is wondering if this is a Spice artifact, or if this is how I can expect the IC to actually perform?

Hi Jonathan,

It depends on how close to 0V you are getting. The op amps can get pretty close to the supply, but not to the rails. I am assuming here that your V- supply is at GND.

The op amps have an "Output Swing" spec which tells you how close you can move the output toward the rail. The exact value will depend on the operating conditions of your amplifier.

However, if one of the supplies is not GND, then what you are seeing could be the result of something else.

If you could share a schematic of the amplifier with the supplies included, then I could give you a better idea of what is going on here.
