OPA4170-Q1: Supply voltage abs max for transient conditions (e.g. load dump)

Besides the 40V absolute max rating for supply voltage (single supply configuration) for this device, is there any information on the abs max rating for transient conditions?  I am looking at this device for an automotive / transportation application in which the device is powered from battery, and load dump in this application is considered to be up to 45V.

    Hi Philip,

    The OPA4170-Q1 will not withstand a load dump condition that can go up to 45V since the absolute maximum rating is 40V. I would recommend adding some sort protection to the supply to clamp the voltage if possible. 

    Another device you might be interested in is the OPA2990. It is not yet automotive qualified but it has an abs max up to 42V (slightly better than the OPA4170) and has better specs than the OPA4170.
