LM211-EP: ESD (HBM) rating

Hi team,

Good day.

Our customer is requesting for the ESD HBM rating for LM211MDREP. Is the ESD HBM rating of non-EP version which is LM211 applicable?

    I did a quick check and noticed that the die is different for the commerical and EP versions of LM211.

    We will need to research this further and get back to you.

    I am still awaiting a response from our customer quality team.  I was able to find some CDM and MM results for the automotive version but no HBM results.  These numbers were significantly better than the commercial device, so I am hopeful that our CQ team can help us retrieve the ESD results for the EP device.  I hope to hear back this afternoon and have an answer by Wednesday since everyone should be back from holiday weekends.

    Due to the age of this device, finding the data has been challenging for our quality team.  We did find data that confirmed passing HBM at 250V but we were unable to find any data regarding testing beyond that voltage rating.  Since the commercial devices have higher rating, it is fair to assume that the -EP version would have as high or higher but we are unable to find confirmation of that.

    If you find that your customer needs a higher level HBM rating, let's discuss offline and see what can be done.  In the meantime, I will check the box noting that the PL believes the question has been answered/resolved.  But feel free to reach out to me directly offline if a higher ESD rating is required.
