INA181: The tolerance of IC height

Part Number: INA181

Hi Team,

Can you please help explain in INA181 data sheet p.45, what is the tolerance of IC height (1.1)?

Please see the picture. Thank you.

  • Tiffany,

If you check the check the footnotes, you will see that values in parentheses are for reference only, i.e., not part of the acceptance/reject process. The number to the right of what you've circled means that the leads are between 0.00mm and 0.15mm from the base of the package typically, and the maximum allowable value that can be measured is at the top, which is 1.45mm, top of package to bottom of lead. This means that, typically, the package will be between 1.1mm and 1.25mm in height, but up to 1.45mm is acceptable as per the allowable maximum. Let me know if this addresses the issue.
