TLV3491: Input over voltage protection and tolerance

Part Number: TLV3491
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV7031

Hi,

We are planning to power the device from a +3.3V supply, however, we will be driving inputs up to +/-15V. If I limit the current going through the internal ESD diodes to 0.1mA using a 150kΩ, will this cause any issues after prolonged use?   Note section this section of the data sheet  8.3.2 Input Overvoltage Protection implies the device can handle an input overvoltage if current is limited below 10mA.   This likely is for brief periods of time; however, I would like to check if the current is even more limited as I state here to 0.1mA what would be the tolerance of the device?

Also is there a similar part recommendation that has the same foot print that will be a better option for the higher voltages on the inputs?

Thank you,

HSG
