Hello,

I have protected the input ports of the TLC272CDR with 2 BAV99 according first circuit drawing. Original the design was according the second circuit drawing and was sensitive for ESD. Due to the very low input signal and probably the reverse current of the BAV99 is influencing the circuit too much and the input signal voor the TLC272CDR is too low then.

Do you have any suggestions to solve this problem?

you could use the ultra low leakage diode BAV199.

Hi Alex,

While BAV99 or 199 could provide a low cost solution to your system, it might not be providing the protection you need. A good replacement for this part could be ESD401. It is rated to withstand up to 24 kV of an IEC 61000-4-2 pulse and has a typical leakage current of 0.03 nA.
