LMH7220: Overdrive voltage

Hi

How to consider overdrive voltage for LMH7220?

What is differential input voltage (Vin diff) when the output should be toggled?

  • Hello,

The output changes stage depending on the net difference between the two inputs, including the comparator input offset voltage. For example if the input signal on the non-inverting input exceeds the signal on the inverting input plus the offset voltage (Vos), the comparator's output will be high (logic "1"). In contrary, if the input signal on the inverting input exceeds the signal on the non-inverting input plus the offset voltage, the output will be low (logic "0"). The overdrive voltage in this case is the amount of voltage that the differential input signal level exceeds the Vos level.

    Regards,
