THS4021: Want to know how to estimate the trim pin compensation

Part Number: THS4021

Hello,this is my question:

I want to select THs4021 ,use to the pre-Amp. This IC has two trim pin.I want to know the compensation, which pin is positive feedback?

Is the datasheet has the characteristic to judge this ?

Thankyou!

  • Hi Xiaoyan,

figure 34 of datasheet shows how to wire these pins.

  • Hi Xiaoyan,

Consider Figure 30. in order to minimize offset, you need to balance the resistance between Vcc- and each complimentary transistor in the current mirrorl. Since a potentiometer has no polarity, you can attach either end to each NULL pin and the wiper to Vcc-. If the resistors were already equal, the potentiometer dial should be exactly in the middle. If they are not, then you will need to tune the potentiometer dial to find which resistance division will achieve the minimum offset possible.

    Best regards,
