LM124AQML: LM124

Part Number: LM124AQML
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM124

For the 5962R SMD LM124 devices what die passivation is used?   Also, is the passivation layer the same for the ELDRs and non-ELDRs but rad-hard LM124 quad op-amps?

Thank you,

Alan Kurdziel

    Hi Allen,

Thanks for your question and welcome to the forum!

I'm going to have to ask the engineer that was previously responsible for supporting this part about this topic.  I'll reach out to him and get back to you ASAP.  I'll try to have some sort of an update for you by Thursday.

    Regards,

    Daniel Miller

  • Hello Alan,

We cannot discuss the process details of our products as it highly proprietary information.

At one time, the 100 krad product tested at high dose rate (HDR) and the 100 krad ELDRS-free versions of the part used different die.   Now they are the same and just different test options.   However, the HDR version is only tested at HDR and is not tested at low dose rate (LDR).    We can see can lot to lot variations in radiation performance, which is why TI tests and qualifies each ELDRS-free wafer at LDR.
