TAS5720A-Q1: How to connect to simple I2S 3-wire input

Part Number: TAS5720A-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5720L,

Hi TI

I try to connect an I2S (LRCLK, BCLK, SDIN) signal to TAS5720A-Q1

So I have no MCLK available.

According to the datasheet of TAS5720L it should be possible to simply connected MCLK to BCLK

I cant see that the same solution is mentioned for the TAS5720A datasheet. Should it be possible to do it on that one as well?

I have tried it on my TAS5720A-Q1EVM eval kit, but it does not work.

I dont want to use any I2C communication and settings. Does it require any other further setup in order to make this work?

We currently use the MAX98357A amplifier so I2S output is verified

Looking forward to your advice

br.

Allan
