Hi Team,
I'm using the TPA3110D2 for one of my client projects. We're employing this chip for 2 x 15W audio amplification, with input coming from the Realtek audio codec ALC5616-CGT. However, the TPA3110D2 isn't functioning when we provide any audio signals from the codec. While debugging this issue, here are my observations:
1) While probing the LINP and RINP pins without providing any inputs, the pins show 2.5V and then drop to 0V every 420 milliseconds. (Since the SD and FAULT pins are shorted in the circuit, I suspect this behavior is due to the chip restarting because of the DC fault detection.) Is the 2.5V observed the bias voltage?
I tried pulling down the FAULT/SD pin while powering up and releasing it after some time when the power was stable, but the same issue persisted!
2) In our circuit, we have shorted the SD and FAULT pins. While probing these pins, it shows a pulled-down state for 420 milliseconds and released for 2.5 milliseconds. (I believe this is due to a DC fault.) (without any input)
3) When playing any audio, there is no sound output, and the output and input also exhibit an on-and-off nature.
I have attached the schematics and the screenshot of my observation. Please guide me to solve the issue.
