Hello all,
How do you configure the TLV320AIC3204EVM-K for a digital microphone input. The digital mic has an I2S outpput.
Thanks very much.
Leo
Hi, Leo,
In order to use the TLV320AIC3204EVM-K with a digital microphone input, it is necessary to configure two digital I/O pins as digital microphone clock and data. Please find attached a .zip folder that contains some scripts to configure the digital microphone at different sampling rates. In these examples, SCLK pin is used as Digital Mic Data and the MISO pin is configured as Digital Mic Clock.
Please let me know if you have additional questions or comments.
Best regards,
Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
Hi Luis,
Today I double-checked that all the switches and jumpers are in the default state (I ran this board a few weeks ago and it worked, and I haven't touched the switches and jumpers since, but I re-confirmed that today).
When I followed the "How to Revive a USB Audio EVM" procedure there was an ambiguous area:
2. Remove the USB cable from the board.
3. Short SDA and SCL lines by shorting the EEPROM SDA and SCL pins (not the test points).
4. Connect the EVM board to the USB socket.
5. After 5 seconds, remove the short.
On the board the test points are actually connected directly to the EEPROM pins, so step 3. is confusing. The other interpretation is to use the J6 SDA and SCL signals (J6-1 and J6-3), but these pins are connected to the EEPROM via a level shifter. I tried following the revive procedure both ways, and neither worked. So I'm stuck.
Thanks.
Leo
Hi Luis,
Sorry for the delay, and thanks for following up. The EVM sat in my drawer over Christmas break so I don't think it was used for anything else.
I'll get you some more information about what happens during revival, etc.
Thanks.
Leo
