TAS5717: TAS5717 External MCU for I2C setting

Hi,

I use software GDE to config TAS5717 as well, But I think TAS5717 once turn off the device, all of config will be clear, is it right?

It means TAS5717 data is stored in volatile memory,is it right?

I want to software download to config TAS5717 and I want to use only TAS5717 without external MCU, is it possible?

If TAS5717 not allow like a standalone,Could you give me another good device information?

(I just once connect external MCU to config TAS5717 and then remove external MCU.)

Hello Kim! As a slave device the TAS5717 will still need a clock per page 9 of the datasheet. With that said , there are other options to support this. Please also refeence: e2e.ti.com/.../586751

OK. I got it. But MCLK clock I will provide from another MCU(such as MicroChip PIC).

So, MCLK is not matter for our company design.

I just want to know that about TAS5717 is remember last config setting when system power off and power on?
It means TAS5717 is all register initialization config setting whenever power on?

I hope once programing to TAS5717 and then TAS5717 still maintain register setting even if system reset without MCU.

Is it possible?
