DIR9001: Question of DIR9001 Error Pin's Output Current

Part Number: DIR9001

Hi Sirs,

We are supporting customer to design error indicator for the DIR9001. Would you pls advise the maximum output current (IOH?) specification of the DIR9001's ERROR pin since we see input current specifications (but no ERROR pin) on the DIR9001 datasheet?

Thank you and Best regards,

  • Hi, Wayne,

My colleague has been notified about your question. He will take  a look and will let you know if this spec is available. As this is an old part, the people who worked around it is no longer in TI, which makes complicated to get  this type of information.

  • HI Wayne,
    Sorry for the delay.

As far as the ERROR pin goes, this is a CMOS output [please refer to the footnote 3 on page 7 in the DS]. Hence, ERROR pin should be able to source max current of 4mA. NOTE that the VOH/VOL are speced at +/-4mA and at max IOH, the device will incur penalty on VOH/VOL.

    Best regards,
    Ravi
