CDCM6208: meaning of output LVDS like

Part Number: CDCM6208

Dear team,

It seems CDCM6208 could support LVDS output, but I have a little confusion about the description of datasheet, "LVDS-like signal". What does this mean? What is the difference between LVDS-Like and true LVDS? Could this part support LVDS output? Thank you.

Regards,

Polly

  • Hi Polly,

LVDS compatible signal shall comply with TIA/EIA-644-A standard.
LVDS-like signal is similar to a standard LVDS signal but some of the parameters maybe different. For example, output common mode voltage maybe different.
If this LVDS-like signal output parameters meet the far-end receiver input parameters, then they are inter-operable.
