TPL5110: battery type

Greetings,

is this device have any battery type request.

I'm using TPL5110 to save energy, but realize that the PCB is working fine with 3 carbon Zinc batteries AAA,

but when switching to 3 alkaline batteries AAA, it won't start.

do you have any suggestion?

I have no idea why carbon zinc batteries work but alkaline do not. Let's try and figure it out.

Firstly, did you measure the voltage of the alkaline batteries to confirm the batteries are not dead and device is powered?

Hi there,

Both battery types should have a nominal 4.5 V which is compatible with the TPL5110 and therefore both battery types should work.

Can you confirm that each configuration has the proper voltage? Have you tried with a new set of batteries?
