LMX2594EVM: Recommendation for Oscillator

Hi Experts,

Good day.

Client currently have the LMK61PD-based Reference Pro board (with clock source as described in THIS post also). They noted though that its specifications do not meet the minimum requirements for an oscillator as stated in the EVM user's guide. This is being reflected in their measurements.

On that note, would it be possible to get a recommendation, from the team, for an alternate Wenzel (or other) 100MHz oscillator, meeting the requirements, to solder onto and use with the EVM module?

    Hi Archie,

    The EVM can fit a standard 5mm x 7mm 6-pin or 4-pin XO. However, as far as I know, there is no XO in this package is compatible with Wenzel in phase noise. We used to use VC-708 in the EVM but as its availability was not stable, we finally took it out from the board.
