LMK05318BEVM: Strange current consumption phenomena when disconnecting unused power rails

Part Number: LMK05318BEVM

Hello all,

I'm using the LMK05318BEVM in a single 32MHz CMOS output (Only CH7 is active, all other channels are disabled via software GUI)

To my understanding, it is possible to leave all other power rails not connected for channels that are not in use:

https://e2e.ti.com/support/clock-timing-group/clock-and-timing/f/clock-timing-forum/1072989/lmk05318b-is-it-possible-to-remove-power-to-unused-outputs-of-lmk05318b?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=LMK05318B%252525252520output#

I've disconnected all series resistor of channels 0 - 6:

The current consumption before removing the resistors was about 400mA, which is ok...

Now, the current consumption after removing the resistors is about 590mA!

When I re-soldered all the resistors the current consumption was 400mA back again.

Did I do something wrong? I would expect the current consumption to remains the same,  clearly not to be increased so drastically...

Thanks

Nir
