LMK62E0-156M: Selection recommendation.

Part Number: LMK62E0-156M
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMK6C, LMK6P

Hi Team,

My customer needs a 156.25MHz clock for the DSP.

Besides LMK62E0-156M, is there any other recommendation? Better supply is required. Thanks.

Regards, Charlie

  • Hi Charlie,

The LMK6X family is our latest generation of oscillators, and they have improved jitter performance and a smaller package size compared to the LMK62E0. The 156.25 MHz LVPECL variants will be released in Q1 2023. For now, information on all variants are included on the LMK6C datasheet.

  • Hi Connor,

The voltage amplitude of the required clock is 800mV to 1000mV.

Is 156.25 MHz LVPECL only suitable? When will samples of the 156.25 MHz LVPECL be available? Thanks.

    Regards, Charlie

  • Hi Charlie,

Is the amplitude of 800 mV to 1000 mV differential (shown as Vout-diff = 2x Vod in the diagram below), or single ended (Vod)? If differential, then LVPECL is most likely the best choice. The actual amplitude of the clock will depend on the termination scheme and the impedance of the receiver.

LMK6P samples are currently available, I will reach out to you via email for more details.

    Regards,

    Connor
