CDCUN1208LP: Power supply ramp question

Part Number: CDCUN1208LP

Hello,

regarding the CDCUN1208LP. I see a min slew rate of 6500V/s in the datasheet.  For 3.3V that's about 0.5ms.  Is that the minimum rise time?  The datasheet is confusing because it states 6500V/s is the minimum slew rate, which would mean that VDD needs to rise faster than 0.5ms.  Please clarify, thanks.

  • Hi Mark,

That's right. It needs to be faster than that. But if you look at footnote 2 of 6.3, you can go down to 5000V/s when your ambient temperature is above 0 Celsius. This is all true in pin mode.

If you are using I2C or SPI mode, then this doesn't apply if you use Reset bit after ramping the supply.

    Best,

    Asim
