BQ32002: SuperCap not charging

Hi,

We have 0.22F cap connected to BQ32002DR and the super cap is not charging.

We have powered up the board for more than 24hrs but still the cap is not charging.

Is there a control bit to select between battery or super cap? Or by default device should charge the super cap?

Hi Darshan,

Are you saying BQ32002 or BQ32000?

32002 does not support Trickle Charge.

Sorry for the late reply. We have BQ32002 part. Will BQ32002 part work? Should we move to BQ32000 part?

We just tried BQ32000 part and even after powering up for more than 1 hour, super cap is not charging. Am I missing something?

We just found TCH2 bit, that might be the missing part. Will update once we set that to 0x1.
