LMK00804B-Q1: whats the impedance profile for VCC suggested?

Part Number: LMK00804B-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LVC1G74, LMR33620-Q1, , TPS745-Q1

Hi, in my design I use several components from texas, like: LMK00804B-Q1, LMR33620-Q1, TPS745-Q1, LSF0108QPWRQ1, SN74LVC1G74, UCC5350MC-Q1 among others.
I'm doing an Analysis to reduce the decoupling capacitors on the layout with PI advisor from Ansys siwave.
What should be the impedance profile for these components?
Texas has a suggestion to be used?

I would like to receive a table with Frequency and impedance if it's possible.

Thank you.

  • Hi Fabio,

For decoupling capacitors components. You can use the the vendor datasheet to get the impedance profile over frequency. Let me know if this answers your question? Usually you want a low impedance path for high frequency noise decoupling and smaller value cap gives lesser impedance than higher values.

  • Hi Asim, I think I did not myself clear.

I'm looking for the impedance requirements of the IC, you have something like that?

For example, the IC requires 0.1ohms between 0 and 10MHz, then 0.2ohms between 10-20Mhz, and so...

  • Hi Fabio,

Yes this path requires a low impedance. Let me check with the design team to see if they have this case simulated.
