TPL5010-Q1: Reset voltage of TPL5010-Q1

Part Number: TPL5010-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPL5010

Dear TI expert,

Customers use TPL5010-Q1 as the watchdog chip of the MCU, and at the same time connect the RST pin of the MCU to a reset IC, as shown in the figure below, there is currently a problem, when the TPL5010 is power down, the voltage of the RST PIN will drop from 3.3V to 1.6V, does the RSTn of this IC have an internal pull-down resistor? What is causing the problem? Thanks!

  • Hi Rogers,

we don't know the internal circuit, maybe there is a DC path to ground, so even if there is no VDD, it is still drawing current from the external pull-high resistor.

Could you try, if you power down the reset IC, will the voltage at RSTn also drop?
