LMK04828: Increasing the output clock speed for DAC38J84

Part Number: LMK04828

Hello,

I am currently working with the LMK in conjunction with the FMC144 card from Abaco. While the DACs theoretically can reach up to 2.5 GHz, they are currently stuck at their default frequency of 368.64 MHz. I'm utilizing a C++ API (provided by Abaco) with an SPI to access and modify the registers of both the LMK and DACs.

Could anyone provide guidance or pointers on how to configure the DACs to achieve higher frequencies using the provided C++ API? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

  • Hello Michael,

To clarify, you are not seeing the sampling frequency change for the ADC, which is being sampled by the LMK04828, correct? If so, can you send the .tcs file or register dump/writes you are doing to better understand how you are programming the LMK04828. Also, what ADC are you using? Thanks.

    Best,

    Andrea
