TPL5010: WAKE pulses sometimes decrease to 2ms or 8ms from 20ms

Hi Expert,

TPL5010's schematic as below, and RSTn is pull up, the DONE is always feeding the dog.

The WAKE pulses sometimes decrease to 2ms or 8ms from 20ms. I suspect that the problem is caused by the instability of VDD and will capture the waveform tomorrow.

Can you give some other suggestions to locate the problem?

Hi Beida,

Make sure RSTn pin has an external pull-high as this pin is an open-drain output.

It is suggested to pull-down the DONE pin with a shunt resistor.

Hi Noel,

Thanks for your update. RSTn has been pull-high to VCC, but DONE doesn't pull-down to GND. Why DONE needs to pull-down? Can you explain it in detail?

Hi Beida,

The DONE pin is an input pin but I found out that there is no internal pull-down, I suggest to pull it down externally to ensure the status of the DONE pin is always LOW until the MCU responses with a DONE signal..
