LMK05318B-Q1: LMK05318B-Q1 frequency error

Part Number: LMK05318B-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi Friend,

Could you please tell me what the allowable deviation is for an output frequency of 24.576 MHz?

  • Hi Shao,

24.576 MHz is generated from VCO2 (APLL2). The output frequency error depends on what reference input that this clock locks to.

    1. If APLL2 operates in independent mode, references the XO, then the output would have the same ppm error as the XO

    2. If APLL2 cascades APLL1:

      a. If APLL1 references XO, the output also have the same ppm error as the XO.

      b. If APLL1 references DPLL input, then the output would have the same ppm error of DPLL input.

The max error allowed in cascade mode is +/- 100 ppm as this is the limit of BAW VCO1.
