CDCE6214: how to load into EEPROM and finding I2C

Part Number: CDCE6214
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB2ANY,

Tool/software:

I'm having trouble finding good guidance for loading software into the EEPROM and finding the I2C address using USB2ANY? Software was tested on the EVM so it does work.

Thanks for any help

  • Stephanie,

    1. Are you using the EVM, or a separate board?
    2. Are you using TICS Pro? If so then you should be able to go to USB Communications > Interface and then Scan I2C Bus.

    Thanks,
    Kadeem

  • A customer's processor is communicating with a sensor via I2C and then they plug in the UCB2ANY dongle and then the I2C bus crashes

  • Stephanie,

    To be clear:

    1. Processor is communicating with an I2C sensor on their board
    2. They are attempting to program the CDCE6214 on their board with the USB2ANY
    3. When connecting the USB2ANY, the I2C bus crashes

How are they connecting the USB2ANY? Are they trying to communicate with the sensor while the USB2ANY is trying to communicate with the CDCE6214? Is there any way of disconnecting the processor I2C from the CDCE6214 while connecting the USB2ANY?

    Thanks,

    Kadeem
