Tool/software:
Hello everyone.
I am Steve.
I am designing HIFU using LMG2100R026, and I need to control it using single input on LMG2100R026 input.
I can control it using the reference circuit provided by TI (image below),
but if a circuit like the one shown in the image is added, wouldn't it be difficult to control at high speed due to delay in dead-time setting or other various reasons?
The LMG2100R026 single control output is a high-frequency signal of 7MHz.
I would like to hear other people's opinions.
Thank you.
Hi Steve,
Yes, you are right. It would be difficult to control the high speed signal with this kind of circuit. Can you tell us the duty cycle of the PWM? We have tested at 50% duty and 10MHz PWM and did not find any problems.
We need >2ns deadtime for correct operation at typ. condition and >10ns deadtime at worst case (based on delay matching number in the datasheet). Once you provide the duty cycle, I can try it out on EVM with the same circuit.
Best Regards,
Madhur
Dear Madhur Wagle
Thanks for your reply.
I can't answer about PWM duty cycle as the circuit design is not yet complete.
Thank you.
Hi Steve,
No problem. We can send one EVM to you to test this circuit. Can you send your address, email and ph.no. on madhur@ti.com ?
My suggestion is the minimum on time pulse for the device 10ns hence PWM should be operating above 10% of the duty cycle (about 14ns for 7MHz) for correct operation.
Best Regards,
Madhur
Dear Madhur Wagle
I have sent you my address by email.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could send me the EVM board of LMG2100R026.
Thank you.
