Tool/software:
Dear SIR:
May I have some question regarding TI some document mention LMKDB1102 and datasheet?
RC19XXX, 9QXL2001X vs. LMKDB1XXX, CDCDB2000 Drop-In Replacement Guide PAGE 25~26
Mention that LMKDB1102 can drop-in part
Q1.
But compare LMKDB1102 and Drop-In part both reference document and datasheet (RC1900X datasheet and some document) seems have "some different"
according to LMKDB1102 document page 79,94 the via of Thermal Pad is 5 and place as page 94
seems different with Drop-In part's document's 3x3 for via of Thermal Pad.
So, I want double confirming the different . It LMKDB1102 still can Drop-In?
Would you have any advise ?
thanks
Hello Talex,
You're correct in regard to there being some differences.
Only workaround is not programming the differing registers, but it shouldn't have much effect.
OE pins also have a slew rate requirement on LMKDB devices.
There shouldn't be too much difference - we can still be a drop-in replacement.
We are fully compatible with RC190xx family.
Best regards,
Vicente
Dear SIR:
Thanks for your reply.
seems you reply by circuit view. But my question mention via of Thermal Pad by layout view.(change another words,if 3x3 for via of Thermal Pad LMKDB1102 can drop-in and without any side effect.(because according to LMKDB1102 via of Thermal Pad number is 5 and place as datasheet page 94 .
thanks
Hello Talex,
thermal vias are only that - for thermal relief.
Even if the thermal patters don't match - you are at liberty at adding/removing them.
The DS is just a starting point for your layout.
You can drop in without any issue.
Best regards
Vicente
