Dear expert:

      One customer want to use CDCU877 to drive 4 Rank DDR2 memory. But two in Main board, others two on the extend card is this ok? what need to takecare? thanks.

    Hi Robin,

    to answer in detailed way to your question we may need to have information about the temination for the 4 outputs (resistance and capacitive load as well as trace impedance). In addition to this, you need to take care that the propagation delays along the four different paths are matched.

    We have a version of this device with a stronger driving capability CDCU2A877, this will help to drive longer traces. Please ask customer if they can switch to the CDCU2A77 version. This device has only a BGA package.
