I am trying to install TI ClockPro (SCAC119d). It stops when trying to install the driver for the TUSB3410 with the message, "unable to Launch usbinst. "
Please help,
The PC is XP, SP3
I looked for usbinst.exe in Windows\System32 but did not find it.
Please point me to a copy of usbinst.exe that I can downlowd. archieb@voxtel-9inc.com
I had a working copy of TIClockPro working with a CDCE Programming EVM V1.1
When I came back to use it again the sw was unable to find the board.
an entry for the TD CDCE(L)9xx Programming Evaluation Module (Com11) was present in
Device Manager\Ports (Com & LPT).
I downloaded a new copy of ClockPro and installed it as indicated at the top of this message.
Thanks,

Hi Archie,
Not sure if this will work, I attached my TIClockPro/Driver folder here.6825.Driver.zip
I clicked on the Setup.exe after extracting the files. This fails with a message window
'unable to Launce usbinst"
this file is found within the TIclockPro files on c: drive
I have had this failure before.
So I uninstalled ClockPro and reinstalled from SCAC119d and got the same unable to Launch usbinst message
I again uninstalled ClockPro and am going to power down and reinstall from SCAC119d
I am still listening.
Thanks,
archieb
Hello Archie,
if the solution from my other post does not work, you could try to install this:
Best regards,
Julian
the file 1780.ClockPro-1.2.1.exe created a new directory in Texas Instruments Inc\ClockPro.1.21 The Sw is copyright 2005
I uninstalled the driver as found in device manager and reinstalled from the newly loaded files.
The EVM Programmer window cannot find the Programmer bd.
I got out a new, not used by me before, Programmer bd and tried that. the TI ClockPro Programmer could not find the progrmammer EVM V1.1 Digikey Part Number 296-30836-ND
Thanks,
