LMK01010: LMK01010 Single ended sine wave input - LVDS sine wave output?

Part Number: LMK01010

Is it possible to use the LMK01010 with a single ended 10MHz RF sine wave input and generate a buffered, 10MHz LVDS sine wave out?  If not, what can be done?

Please let me know.

Thanks John Garrett TI-AFA

  • The LMK01010 will not be able to use a 10 MHz sine wave based on slew rate limits.  Sometimes people used clipped sine waves to resolve the slew rate issue.  Also, the output is a square wave.  All clocking devices are square waves.

If you want to buffer a sine wave in to a sine wave out, I'd suggest using some amplifier.
