Team,
Can you please specify the minimum swing for differential outputs on the LVDS and LVPECL pin pairs when Vboost is set to 1. Only the nominal is specified.
Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for setting up this post.
We are using this part to drive a variety of different interface types in a microwave synthesizer. None of them are necessarily PECL or LVDS, so we are trying to understand what the minimum swing will be into 50 and 100 ohms differential at 125 and 250MHz out.
also, we are severely space limited, what is the minimum recommended bypass capacitor usage?
Thank you

Jessica,
The Vboost bit adds about 40 mV in LVDS mode and about 55 mV in LVPECL mode, but to put a min/max spec in the datasheet, we would have to formally test for this condition. As such, I can't guarantee these numbers for min/max.
As per the LMK01000 datasheet, it seems to be lacking in typical performance curves. The LMK03000 datasheet ( www.ti.com/.../lmk03000.pdf) on page 13 has the same output structure design and does have more curves that show performance over frequency. This should give you a much better idea of the variation to expect.
