CDCLVD2106: Longevity

Part Number: CDCLVD2106

Hello,

I saw that decive "CDCLVD2106" is in Active status. I would like to know what is going to be its longevity ? Does buffering from 1 to 6 as something common or special ?

I ask it since usually I know buffers of 1:8 or 1:10 , but not usually 1:6, Is it widespread ?

Thanks,

Ohad

  • Hi Ohad,

CDCLVC2106 will remain ACTIVE for the foreseeable future. I cannot comment on the longevity in years, but it will not become obsolete anytime soon.

Note that CDCLVD2106 is a dual 1:6 buffer. It may not be as popular as 1:8, but otherwise nothing special.

    Kind regards,
    Lane
  • You mean "popular" in TI or in the hall market ?
I must say that from what I saw a dual 1:8 which works in 2.5v exists only in TI, its equivalent in IDT works only in 1.8v.
However, the dual 1:6 CDCLVD2106 and its equivalent in IDT can both work in 2.5v.
So it looks like the dual 1:6 is more popular than the dual 1:8, correct me if I wrong...
  • Hi Ohad,

I was only referring to within TI in general, I do not have the market information for the competitor devices.

    Kind regards,
    Lane
