LMX2572LP: LMX2572LP, About the footprint of LMX2572LP.

Part Number: LMX2572LP

Hi

I download the Ultra Librarian based data file to generate Cadence OrCAD 16.6 footprint. but it looks the file doesn't work properly. wihle double click the 2020-06-24_08-20-39.bat file, the Allegro can be called , but it will hang soon with a screen prompt as below screen snapshot. Could you help double check the reason.

I attach the raw ultra librarian data file here, which is downed from TI web site.

BTW, I have generated lots of footprints by using the same method, just met failure when I wanted to create the footprint of this device, so my PC and software environment may be OK. ul_LMX2572LPRHAR.zip

  • Hello Hui,

Did you select RHA0040H or RHA0040H_NV as your footprint, did you use basic or detailed view?

Did you use "OrCAD/Allegro PCB Editor v16.x" CAD format? Want to confirm the exact settings in case we need to reproduce this. Could you  try re-downloading the file or have you already tried that?

    Thanks,

    Vibhu

---- I have tried both of them, the results are the same.

---------Sure, I have checked this option when I downloaded the file.

Could you  try re-downloading the file or have you already tried that?

------Yes, I have done/re-tried more than 5 times. I also have tried at different PC, but they had the same failure.

BTW, I have created lots of footprints of TI devices with the same method, most of them were successful, only two met failure, one was this device, the other was a LDO, but the phenomenon was slightly different.  I also have submitted a case in LDO section of this forum.

  • Hello Hui,

Thanks for confirming. I am still looking into updating the model. I will update you with an estimated date for when the model is ready shortly.

In the meantime you can also try downloading the files for a part that uses the same package, as you are looking for the footprint. Some of our other parts that have the same VQFN RHA 40 package:

    https://www.ti.com/packaging/docs/searchproductbypackage.tsp?orderablePartNumber=&packageDesignator=RHA&pinCount=40&results=results#resultspage

    Thanks,
