ADC128D818: measurement drift

Part Number: ADC128D818

Dear Sir/Madam,

We are using ADC128D818 for voltage monitoring applications. To make the voltage level compatible with the ADC input range, potential dividers have been used. During measurement, we are observing about 1% reduction in the value compared to expected value. For example if 1V is expected, then actual measured value is 990mV. We would like to understand the reason for this issue. Is there any source impedance mis-match?

Regards,
Saravana

  • Hello,

The total error needs to be considered to be sure that this is not out of specifications, this would include the performance of the ADC as well as the resister at the input. the total unadjusted error for the device varies based on if an internal or external reference is used, with the external reference having worse performance.

Is this 1% dip consistent across the entire full input range?

    Regards

    Cynthia
