Hi,

Iam trying to establish a SPI communication between ADS1298ECG to Arduino UNO.

ARDUINO CONNECTION WITH ADS 1298 ECGFE BOARD

J3.3 SCLK connected to Arduino pin 13

J3.4 GND connected to Arduino pin GND common.

J3.7 CS complement connected to Arduino pin 10

J3.8 RESET connect to Arduino pin 4.

J3.11 DIN connected to Arduino pin 11

J3.13 DOUT connected to Arduino pin 12

J3.15 DRDY connected to Arduino pin 3 (programmed)

J4.9 power supply is 3.3V

J4.5 connect to Arduino GND

I also connected the J4.10 power supply is 5v of the arduino.power supply 5v.

But when MEASURING J4.10 iam getting 5v, bt the TP7 ,IAM NOT GETTING ANY VOLTAGE. similarly is the case with the TP5,TP13,T6,TP9. Also Iam trying to read the control register ID of ads298, bt iam getting the value as 0. Can you help me solve this issue??

Hi,

We don't really support Arduino.

Here are some guidance.

Before you connect the EVM to Arduino, have you tried the EVM with the GUI came with it on a PC and make sure all the power rails are correct and it's working with the GUI?

Hi,

Update: Iam getting the voltages at all these test points. Still Iam trying to read the control register ID of ads1298, but Iam getting the value as 0. Can you help me solve this issue??

Hi,

Update: Right now iam reading the CONFIG1 register of ads1298. So iam writing a value to the CONFIG1register, BUT reading is not happening. I checked with the oscilloscope , so i understood we are able to write to the register and the opcode is also seen. But why does reading is not happening. Based on the information given in the ADS1298 datasheet section 9.5.2.10 and 9.5.2.11 ,i did the coding part.

Right now ADS1298 EVAL KIT is connected to ESP32 DEV BOARD. The connection goes as

5V,3V,1.8V,GND FROM J5 (EVAL ),

DOUT(J3) -P19(ESP)

DIN(J3)-P23(ESP)

CS(J3)-P5(ESP)

SCLK(J3)-P18(ESP)

Hi,

Once you make sure the power rails are all correct, make sure to follow the proper power up sequence and reset,

and then

you need to probe the SPI signals and make sure they match with the timing diagram as shown in ADS1298 datasheet page 17
