ADS131E08: ADS131E08

Part Number: ADS131E08

Hi,

I'm dealing with this same problem. I'm using STM32H7 MCU as the host CPU and I haven't been able to configure the ADC.

Best regards.

  • Oskar,

You mentioned that you are having the same problem, but you don't reference the post. Can you post a link to the post you were reading?

For communication errors and problems on configuring the device, I would start with some basic checks on the state of the device. Make sure that the device has power, and that /RESET is high. Then verify that you're using the correct mode of SPI (for this device CPOL = 0 and CPHA = 1).

Instead of changing the registers after powering up, start by reading the registers (maybe RREG for the first 4 registers). Then see if they match the default register values. If the device does not properly respond, I'd recheck all my connections and then get and oscilloscope to check the SPI communications (/CS, SCLK, DIN, DOUT) and see what goes into the device and how the device responds. With the scope shot, you should also verify the digital timing on page 12 of the datasheet.

If you get to this point, get an oscilloscope screen shot, and post the pictures here.

  • Oskar,

I haven't heard from you at all so I thought I'd check to see how you were coming along with the ADS131E08.

If you've been able to configure the ADS131E08 then I'm glad you were able to get the communications working, but if you continue to have problems please post back.

I'll close this post for now, but if you post back the thread will stay open and we can work on this problem again.
