DLPDLCR230NPEVM: 960x540@240hz displayed image is constantly wiggles

Part Number: DLPDLCR230NPEVM

Hi,

I've followed the answer from the previous question(https://e2e.ti.com/support/dlp-products-group/dlp/f/dlp-products-forum/1054640/dlpdlcr230npevm-can-i-use-960x640-240hz-with-the-provided-firmware/3901877#3901877) to setup the 960x540@240hz settings for the EVM.

I've changed the hdmi timing line as suggested:

hdmi_timings=960 0 8 32 40 540 0 56 6 6 0 0 0 240 0 151756000 3

When the projector turns on, and before running the init-DPI script, everything looks fine.

However, when I run the init_paralle_mode.py with the modified line(960x540 instead of 1920x1080), the projected image constantly wiggles.

Summary = WriteInputImageSize(960, 540)

I've captured the projected pattern with my phone.

1. As you can see in the captured video, the projected image constantly wiggles.

Please note that there is no such wiggle before running the init_parallel_mode.py script

2. As you can also see, there are test pattern image at the bottom part of the projected image.

3. When I turn on the projector with this setting for a couple of minutes, the projector's light greatly turns dimmed.

When I reset the projector, by signaling the GPIO 26, then I can see the bright test pattern again.

However, when I run the init_parallel_mode.py script, I can only see the dimmed light

What could be the cause of these problems?

Thank you.
