Hi 

Could you confirm the reasons why the TPD4E001R was created with a reversed pin out for the Vcc and GND Contacts

    Hi Lyndsey,

    The "R" version of the part was made to enable more P2P swapping support. If a customer was using another device with that same pin out, they would be able to swap it out with TPD4E001R if they found it superior.
