TUSB8043A: About the compliance mode transition of TUSB8043A

Part Number: TUSB8043A

I have tested USB3.2 undernal the following conditions,

But no test signal is output.

1:The DTU is turned on, If the DTU is peripheral, Vbus is supplied from the USB connector.

2:There is a tceduermination (50OHM) on the Tx line of DTU.

3:The connection partner does not respond to the LFPS signal transmitted by DTU and times out.

Is this procedure correct?

Thanks

Hiroyuki Takada

  • Hello Takada-san,

There was a change added to the USB 3.1 specification preventing downstream ports of hubs from entering compliance mode unless they receive a command from the USB host enabling them to do so.  To generate this command the XHSETT tool from the USB-IF can be  downloaded, installed on a USB host and used to generate this command.
