Hi Team,

There is a good new that we could DIN TI product!

Customer is looking for the replacement of UJA1164ATK (P2P would be better )

1. Please help suggest TI solution, THX

    Hi Kygo,

    Yes, TCAN1164 would be our pin-to-pin replacement for this competitor device. Keep in mind that the register sets for these devices are different, so software changes will be necessary when swapping between devices.

    If we replace TCAN1164DMTRQ1 , do we need modify SCH?THX

    Hi Kygo,

    This schematic looks good. I don't see any issue moving to TCAN1164 with this design.

    If it is still possible to revise the schematic, I would recommend leaving an option to leave pin 7 floating. This would allow for backwards compatibility with TCAN1167 and allow for a possible second supply option (the extra features of TCAN1167 could remain otherwise unused). This could be done by including a 0-ohm on this pin, or by leaving it floating entirely (would cause no issue for TCAN1164). If this change is not possible, this is no problem for TCAN1164.
