DS90UB913A-Q1: Size of camera sensor

Part Number: DS90UB913A-Q1

Hi all,

I have a small problem regarding the FPD-LINK,

I don't understand how can I calculate to max camera sensor size that i can have as an input to the serialize.

what are the main factors that i need to consider?

thanks!

  • Hi Ohad,

     Thank you for your inquiry.

There are a number of parameters which contribute to the maximum sensor size which can be input to the serializer. The DS90UB913A can be set up in multiple configurations as shown in the table from section 6.3 of the datasheet below.

To maximize sensor size, you would also want to maximize your PCLK frequency, with factors such as refresh rate, frame height, frame width contributing to determining your PCLK. In this case, Max PCLK = Image sensor size * refresh rate * 0.9 (10% overhead for blanking interval). For example, in 10 bit max (100MHz max PCLK) with a refresh rate of 60Hz, a sensor size of 1.8MP could be used.

  • Hi Thomas,

Couldn't get a clearer answer than this.

    many thanks!
