TPD6S300: Pin19 and Pin20 tie to ground if unused.

Hi Team,

My customer colay this part with others. So they would like to know if Pin19 and Pin 20 could be tied to ground or not if unused.

Please help to advise.

Hi Jim,

The customer can leave pin 19 and 20 floating if unused (treat them as NC).

My customer will tie them to ground instead of floating.

Hi Jim,

That should be fine, just make sure the customer doesn't enable the GPIO events.

Hi Raymond,

Sorry, I don't understand what GPIO events you are referring to? Pin19 and Pin20 should be USB2 DP/DM ESD protection, doesn't it?

Hi Jim,

Apologies for confusion, yes you are correct. Please disregard the previous mention about GPIO events, the customer can tie these pins to GND.
