TS3USB221: #OE pin question

Part Number: TS3USB221

Hello,

May i know what's the design purpose of the #OE pin, is it only used to power down the device and save the power consumption?

For example: should we control the #OE to pull high and disable the device before switch the D+/- between each channel (1D+/- <--> 2D+/- )?

Thank you.

  • Hi Liao,

The OE Pin is simply meant to save power. When driven high, there is no output from the mux and the device is put into low power mode. You do not need to put the device into low power mode before switching channels.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
