DS90UB962-Q1: Degrading Frame rate while streaming

Part Number: DS90UB962-Q1

Hi,

Currently, I am using Ti962 deserializer for streaming four same kind of sensors with (1620W x 1284H) and 30fps by using virtual channel concept. It's able to streaming but the frame rate is degrading.

Here I have configured as follows,

1. 800Mbps/lane the input speed going to 953s from each sensor

2. Output transmitter speed configured as 1.66Gbps which is configured through 0x1F register. (This is maximum transmitter speed as per datasheet)...

Is any thing I missed apart from above configurations...

Kindly help on this issue..

Thanks & Regards,

Dinesh Kedar

  • Hello Dinesh,

can you provide the data type you are getting out of each sensor? Also, please provide the number of connected Sensors/Serializers to the UB962.

Are these SER running off an external Oscillator or using the BC synchronous Clock mode?

Additionally, what is the value of the REFCLK connected to the UB962?

  • Hi Hamzeh,

can you provide the data type you are getting out of each sensor?

    - YUV422_8

provide the number of connected Sensors/Serializers to the UB962.

    - 1 Sensor/Serializer.. so total 4 sensors i have connected to the 962 Deserializer

Are these SER running off an external Oscillator or using the BC synchronous Clock mode?

    - External Oscillator

what is the value of the REFCLK connected to the UB962?

    - 25MHz

    Thanks & Regards,

  • Hello Dinesh,

your data rate looks good. Can you please read the DES register 0x33 and provide the value?

Also, if you can provide the value for these registers for each Rx port would be great:

    0x02-0x06, 0x1F-0x24, 0x33-0x37, 0x40-0x49, 0x4C-0x58, 0x6D, 0x70-0x76, 0x7A-0x7C, 0xD2-0xDB

  • Hi Hamzeh,

       Thanks for your immediate response.

I read the 0x33 register address from Deserilizer document.. received value is 0x01.

Remaining register addresses also i will try to read.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Dinesh Kedar

  • Thank you!

    Waiting for your feedback!
