Hi TI Team,
This is regarding interrupt generation during standby state of the TCA6424A.
As we have interfaced TCA6424A with CPU over I2C bus, While CPU is in standby we believe that I2C bus will remain inactive state. We have connected CPU Wakeup related signals to input port of the TCA6424A.
While TCA6424A is in standby state, can it read logic change on its input port and generate interrupt (INT) as we have connected interrupt with CPU? If yes, then we may not required to keep I2C communication active during standby state.
Thank you.
The TCA6424A does not really have a standby mode; "standby" simply means that there are no changes at any of its inputs.
Interrupts are always generated.
Hello Clemens,
Thanks for quick response.
"Interrupts are always generated."
Just for double confirmation repeating here our query. As shown in below image pxx is pulled to 1.8V (SW Position 1) now suppose when TCA6424A is in standby state and if pxx is pulled to low (SW position 2 ) will it generate interrupt?
