TPD6S300A: Usage of the SBU lines to protect the USB 2.0 lines

I'm not sure if I'm understanding your question properly, can you elaborate what do you mean by "still connect the ESD protection"? As you mentioned, the C_SBUx lines can be used to protect the Dx lines of the USB2. Phy to protect the USB2.0 pins instead. 

In a CCx or SBUx short to VBUS, the TPD6S300A has 30-V tolerant overvoltage protection FETs integrated internally with fast turnoff time (70ns) and voltage clamps on system side to prevent any damage to the internal system of the CC/PD controller.

I am going to better detail my question.

My idea is to connect the USB 2.0 DP (or DM) signal with C_SBU1 (or C_SBU2) and D1 (or D2) for improving ESD protection from 6kV to 8kV.

Does the parasitic capacitor added by D1 (or D2) lower too much or not the bandwidth of the internal switch of C_SBU1 (or C_SBU2) ?
