Hi,

The customer has a demand for a CAN bus transceiver, which requires CAN signal input and RS signal output. Whether SN65HVD232 is the best solution?

    Hi Charlie,

    The newest standard CAN transceiver that I would recommend for a basic CAN application would be the TCAN1044A. This is a 5V supplied, 8-pin CAN transceiver that is capable of driving and receiving CAN FD frames up to 8Mbps (or down to 9.2kbps). If this application does not have a 5V supply rail, a similar 3.3V supplied CAN transceiver would be the TCAN332 which can handle up to 5Mbps.
